Frequently Asked Questions
How can I know which is the most recommended training for me?
Each of our training programs aims to prepare you as a professional in the film or digital arts industry so that once you have completed and passed your training, you can directly enter the workforce.
Both the film industry and the digital arts industry require specialized professional profiles and portfolios: film directors, VFX artists, character animators, 3D artists for video games, post-producers, cinematographers...
Your choice should align with your career goals to ensure specialized and successful training. You should consider your potential, skills, and above all, be clear that you want to turn your passion into your profession.
What are the benefits of taking my training at FX?
First of all, you should know that FX is a unique school model that began its journey in education almost 17 years ago and is internationally recognized as one of the best schools in the world: you will be trained in a high-performance center completely specialized, updated, and aligned with the industry, with the sole objective of your integration into the workforce.
Being a private school with its own certification, we can guarantee and offer training adapted to the entry profiles of the students and the exit profiles required by the industry. This ensures a high level of job placement upon graduation from the school; for this reason, more than 800 international companies endorse our training and acknowledge that FX graduates are professionals with a distinctive profile and portfolio.
Another benefit of taking your training at FX is that we have a free and lifelong graduate program (AlumniX) that will accompany you in your professional journey. You will have post-training support, update and refreshment programs, and access to exclusive events, as well as the international job board whenever you need it.
How can I make a reservation for a spot?
At FX, we work with small groups to ensure close interaction and feedback with the student. Spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited (25 spots for Bachelor's degrees and 18 for Masters and pre-university Cycle).
Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year is now open, and the registration process is the same for both national and international students:
- Fill out the registration forms (which you can request from your academic advisor)
- Submit all required documents along with a copy of your ID, NIE, or passport
- A passport-size photo
- Make the tuition payment (this guarantees your spot reservation)
Registration is open until all spots for each program are filled.
Can I apply for a scholarship or finance my training?
Yes, we have our own scholarship programs available for the Superior Masters to promote access to your training and subsequent integration into the industry.
Talent Scholarship: the objective of this scholarship is to help and promote the development of talent for those profiles that show potential in the areas of cinema or digital arts. This scholarship is international in scope and can be requested by submitting a portfolio of work.
Travel Scholarship: this scholarship is aimed at foreign students (Latin Americans or from other continents), European students outside of Spain, and Spanish residents from outside of Catalonia who move to Barcelona to train in FX.
WomenX Scholarship: the objective of this scholarship is to help and promote the development of skills and training for women so that they can professionally enter the world of cinema and 3D.
